Public Transport
The Kunstfort bij Vijfhuizen is easily and quickly accessible via the public transport connection the ‘Zuidtangent’ (bus 300). This bus departs from station Haarlem Centraal, Schiphol airport or Hoofddorp every 8 to 15 minutes. The Fort is about a five minute walk from the stop at Vijfhuizen (Halte Vijfhuizen). If you are travelling from Schiphol airport or Hoofddorp you will need to cross once you reach the bus-stop. If you are travelling from Haarlem you will not need to cross. Walk straight ahead into the Citadel, a street with a bicycle path between mock-period properties. Cross the bridge and then turn right onto the Geniedijk, where you will need to cross the Spieringweg. Continue along the Geniedijk untill the Fort becomes visible to your left.

By the A4 motorway (Amsterdam, Rotterdam, the Hague) Motorway A4, exit Hoofddorp (N201) direction Heemstede (N201).
Follow this route for 8 kilometres. Ignore the Vijfhuizen exit (N205), it is easier to continue straight ahead and take the next exit direction Cruquius Oost. You are now on the Spieringweg. After two kilometres you will arrive at some traffic lights, where the road becomes temporarily narrow. Once you have passed the bicycle path and the road broadens again you will be able to turn left into our car-park. From the car-park, climb the stairs next to the Genieloods, where you will see the Fort in front of you.

From Haarlem (N205) Follow the Schipholweg (A205) from Haarlem Zuid/Schalkwijk in an Easterly direction towards the A9 Amsterdam/Alkmaar. Take exit N205 (Drie Meren Weg) direction Vijhuizen and Hoofddorp. After about 4 kilometres you will reach some traffic lights. Turn right here direction Vijfhuizen onto the Stelling road. After 400m take a right turn at the roundabout and then follow the bend to the left. Continue straight on the Vijfhuizerweg. Turn left at the fist opportunity (approx. 500m). You are now on the Spieringweg. Once you have gone through the underpass, turn right into our car-park. From the car-park, climb the stairs next to the Genieloods, where you will see the Fort in front of you.
